St. Coletta
Fall Clean Up &
Potluck Lunch
Saturday, October 22
8:30am – 1pm
This is an invitation to all family and friends of St. Coletta clients to get together to help with some of the ‘extras’ around the St. Coletta houses that staff can’t get to and also to get to know each other better and celebrate the beauty of fall in Wisconsin.
We joined the families of Seton House residents this spring for their clean-up day and had a great time. A year ago they started up a fall clean up day with great success and we're joining forces with them again this fall. This day promises to be fun and continue to increase that great sense of community that is already such a vital part of the fabric of St. Coletta.
The chore list for fall is generally more outdoor oriented, but can include any number of projects that need to be done around the apartments and houses. Whether raking leaves, trimming shrubs, painting outside or inside, or anything else that just needs to be done, every little bit helps. The list of specific tasks we aim to accomplish is being developed – please speak up if there are things you would like to see included.
The goal is to arrive at 8:30 to get organized, get work done between 9am and noon, and then congregate outside/in the garage at St. Agnes on Racine Street for a potluck lunch and socializing. (The Badgers play at Michigan State that evening at 7pm, so there's plenty of time for football fans to do both activities that day!) Please bring a dish to pass and a lawn chair to sit on. We'll order a party-style sub with soft drinks to share; we'll ask for a donation of $5 (or more!) to cover those costs - any amount above the cost of the food will be given to St. Coletta.
We’d love to get some grassroots momentum and make the Fall Clean Up an all-St. Coletta tradition. We hope you can join us this year to start the ball rolling and have some fun doing it!
